This collection gathers projects, articles, publications, tools, and campaigns that have inspired our activities. Each entry highlights why the resource was useful, what problem it helps to solve, and how it connects to MI-RAP’s themes of innovation, sustainability, and music ecosystem development. 

The collection is designed to be searchable and user-friendly, with filters by Categories (type of resource) and Topics (theme or area of impact). Each example is submitted by our partners to ensure the collection reflects real experiences and direct relevance to the project.

HEMI

The HEMI aimed at helping music entrepreneurs develop sustainable services and products for the music industry. It focuses on enhancing their business skills, entrepreneurial mindset and competitiveness. Combining hybrid and scalable training schemes with mentoring, as well as online and in situ networking activities.

HEMI Incubator is the Music Business training programme of The Hub for the Exchange of Music Innovation (HEMI) addressed to music entrepreneurs and companies of the 9 HEMI participating countries: Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia. It provides a framework for music business professionals and young entrepreneurs that seek opportunities to develop their businesses or create a new project.

Beign part of HEMI helped me to understand the challenges for music startups and possible formats to help them develop their services and products.

CNM AI Study

The CNM's new study explores how AI is reshaping the music industry. It identifies over 50 use cases across the value chain, highlighting gains in creativity, productivity, and accessibility. While AI adoption varies and legal/ethical concerns persist, the study calls for sector-wide coordination, training, and a balanced, human-centered integration of AI.

The study AI in the music industry provides an overview of the current status of the implementation of AI Tools and provides a description of AI use cases . This helped us to further understand the current state of play of AI in the music industry

AI Manager Programme

The Hamburg Media School offers a training program on artificial intelligence that provides practical preparation for implementing AI in businesses. In several modules, experts share strategic, technical, and ethical knowledge related to AI.

The page was very helpful and gave me useful ideas, especially for how to structure the workshops and choose relevant topics. It also helped with finding speakers; I included some of them in my own program.

Recruiting Coaching

Since late 2023, “Recruiting Coaching” is part of Hamburg Music Business’s Fachkräfteprogramm, designed to help small and medium-sized music companies in Hamburg. It offers coaching and training to improve hiring and employee retention skills in the industry.

Since Hamburg Music had already developed a similar coaching program in another area, this experience was helpful in designing the new program. It provided insights into possible structures and highlighted key lessons learned.

Cross-Sectoral Events

The Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft offers a wide range of networking events and congresses that connect creative professionals. Their website provides an overview of formats and approaches that can inspire others to design similar events, from speaker research to event set-up.

The events and expertise of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft helped us set up our first networking meeting. Their structured approach to planning, speaker research and invitations gave us a clear and replicable model.

YOUROPE Hub

Yourope Hub is a dynamic collection of knowledge, best-practice examples, and tools for organizing popular music festivals. Continuously updated by working groups, the project team, and management, it inspires festival organizers to adopt innovative, sustainable, and effective approaches.

Nordic Coffee Fest

Nordic Coffee Fest inspires with its strong sustainability focus, minimizing waste and promoting climate friendly practices. They measure impact through careful tracking, share results with participants and partners, and continuously seek innovative ways to enhance their environmental performance.

Their real-world implementation of sustainable practices gives concrete examples of waste reduction and sustainability-conscious event planning.

Music Business Careers

At Music Business Careers you will find comprehensive information on how to enter the music industry and a clear insight into the different career fields it offers. In addition, it provides news from the industry and publish current vacancies and jobs from the German-speaking region.

For the launch of the website, we took a detailed look at the various career profiles in the different sectors of the music industry. The website serves as an information hub that we have repeatedly accessed as part of the Lateral Entry Program.
